Charles Sanchez Dies at Pueblo; Buried Here Today
Charles Hubert Sanchez, Sr., county assessor for two years and night chief of police under Chief Ralph Levy, died suddenly at Pueblo Saturday following an operation.
The sudden death came as a surprise and shock to the many friends and acquaintances he had here.
Mr. Sanchez was born March 16, 1884, at San Luis, Colo. He came to Huerfano County about 1900 with his father, and conducted a general store for years on Main Street.
The funeral was held this morning at 9:30. He was buried in St. Mary's cemetery following requiem high mass at the St. Mary's church.
Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, three children, Bonnie, 19; Santos,17, and Aloysius 10; three sisters, Mrs. Jim Monyhan, Mrs. F. Mitchell, and Mrs. John Saylor, all of San Francisco, Calif. And two brothers, M.A. Sanchez, Jr., Trinidad, and R.F. Sanchez of Kansas City, Mo. The body was in the care of Furphy brothers, undertakers.

BONNIE SANCHEZ IS BURIED TODAY
Bonnie E. Sanchez, 32 years of age died suddenly of a heart attack in Denver last Thursday evening. He had undergone a goitre operation last spring, and since then, his heart was left in a weakened condition for which he had been taking treatments.
He is survived by his wife, Emily B. Sanchez, two daughters, Yvonne, 13 and Yvette, 9, two brothers, Santos and Aloysius and his mother, Mrs. Julia B. Sanchez, who live at 806 Russell St. Mrs. Sanchez was a graduate of St. Mary's school, class of 1934.
Funeral services were held by Furphy Brothers Mortuary at 10 o'clock this morning from St. Mary's church. Burial was at St. Mary's cemetery.
